In the process of editing our opening sequence of a thriller we used a programme specially designed for editing called Premier Pro. In the first steps of editing out thriller we captured all shots of our filming that we needed from our edit descision list. We the began to start cropping these shots and putting them together. We used all aspects of this programme such as the timeline to produce correct timing and length of shots. we also used effects on our thriller opening to have different effect on our viewer such as distort some images. We also put our music into this programme to make sure in fit in certain places and if not we moved it around so it did and kept on improving it.
Filming Diary
12th December
This was the 1st day we started to film, We used a train station as our main setting, using different camera angles like pan and zoom to create an abstract feel. We filmed our character getting on and off the train and walking over the bridge. We used an over the shoulder shot to create the feel that she is being followed. We did several shots of each take so we could combined them.
12th December- Filming Notice Board
We needed to do an extra filming session to fit in our notice board shots. We set up the room and used dim lighting to create a 'un-nerving' atmosphere. Zooming in and out on certain picture and words not we created suspense by not showing the whole board. leaving the audience suspicious. We took it in turns filming from different angles using different perspectives.

Editing Diary
5th- 12th January
We spent 6 lessons capturing our tape into clips as we experienced a few problems for example we lost some of our material so had to re capture it twice. We looked at our storyboards an split up the shots into the order. We used a program called Premier Pro and changed the input and output to change the length of the clip.
13th January+
As a group we took it in turns editing the film, all imputing our ideas. We started to placing the clips in order, changing the speed and duration of certain parts to create tension in the slow parts and add pace in the fast parts. After all our clips were in order we played around with some of the effects including 'ghosting' and editing the colouring to dim down the lighting. we also added in a couple of transitions to make the sequence look more smooth.
